I was a National level gymnast for 15 years and in 2008 I transferred to snowboarding and went from beginner to Olympian in 6 years.
My first overseas snowboarding trip was to New Zealand in 2008. The day after we arrived was a perfect blue bird day and had snowed about 2ft and I got the chance to go heli-boarding with my dad after only being on a board for 3 weeks. That is still one of the funnest days I’ve had snowboarding.
